A Picture is Never a Picture

When you show someone a picture, you are showing them a story.

A picture on its own has no context – it needs the narrative behind it.

Without the story, a picture becomes the context of someone else’s worldview.

To show a picture is to tell a tale of where that picture came from and where it progressed today.

Never assume people will understand a picture on its own.

Never assume you can understand a picture on its own.
