People have a visceral reaction to Mondays.

It’s a sign the weekend is over and the world of work waits for them again. If they’ve been on vacation, the Monday back is especially hated.

Students really hate Mondays.

Entertainers, on the other hand, welcome Mondays.

They spend their entire weekend consumed with bookings and the end of the weekend is their time to rest. It’s also a great day for them to get errands done as most places are empty.

Retired people are ambivalent towards what day it is, unless they made plans.

Monday, on the other hand, doesn’t care. It’s just another day filling its role in our calendar as a way to mark the time.

It only has power over you if you grant it.
