Humanity has been sleeping for too long.
For thousands of years, we enjoyed the full extent of our senses as we traversed the deserts, forests and landscape. Then we domesticated ourselves and slowly shut down as a reliance on full alertness was no longer needed.
We’re at the point where we don’t even pay attention to the scenery in front of us anymore in lieu of hearing about what’s happening with our supposed friends online. This doesn’t just make us out of touch with nature, but with ourselves.
How is it we have the best of everything we could want and still feel numb?
We’re sleep walking through our waking life.
It isn’t just time to stop and smell the roses. It’s time to wake up and re-learn about who we are and what makes us alive.
If we don’t, it won’t be long until some algorithm manipulates us into staying asleep by deluding us into thinking we’re making choices for ourselves.
