There’s one surefire way to get ahead in life:

Put an emphasis on others.

Whatever you’re offering, or trying to achieve, putting your audience at the centre will get you further than trying to work the other way around.

Don’t expect your audience will jump on board with you because you want them to – that only works if you hold power over them.

To build a following is to centralize what you’re offering as the center of what your audience needs. When the two of those meet, great results will happen.
