Reborn Every Morning

Every morning, when we wake up, there’s an opportunity ahead of us.

We have the chance to take everything we’ve learned the previous day and start something new. There’s a sense of adventure and freedom knowing you can make different decisions than yesterday.

This doesn’t mean the entire day has to look drastically different. Unless something monumental has happened in your life that resulted in catastrophic change overnight (some events lead this way), the change only has to be minor. Even minuscule.

A glass of water instead of the thirteenth cup of coffee.
Pick up the clothing on the floor instead of walking by it.
Saying no to a request and doing something else with the time.
Parking at the furthest spot in the lot and walking a bit more.
A few push-ups or stretches before plopping on the couch.

The list of minor decisions to make are endless.

You make one today, then another one tomorrow… then another… and keep going. Every day, you wake up and you’re reborn into someone new based on the decisions from yesterday.

Then one day, you wake up an entirely different person.

And you start again.
