In a meeting or in a classroom, there are two compulsions:

1. Never say anything.
2. Always have something to say regardless of whether it’s thought out.

Not speaking up when you have something to say is just as detrimental as saying something that detracts from any work in progress.

Be thoughtful about your approach and speak up when it matters.
