I know, I know – let me explain.
A surprise is something completely unexpected and throws you into a state of shock: both good and bad.
A real surprise comes out of nowhere.
The slow, gradual process of buildup that leads to a cumulative end is not a surprise.
Not taking care of yourself and then finding out you have serious health problems, for instance.
Or procrastinating from your work and then having everything pile on you the last minute.
Some things shouldn’t be surprises, but expected results of behaviours.
Know the difference.
