It takes ten years of dedicated work to get to where you want in with a skill.

The skill could be writing, music, performing, or winning a Nobel prize in physics.

When ten years seems like a ridiculous amount of time, we look for shortcuts. If results don’t happen right away, we give up.

Then ten years pass. Any regret?

The time will pass anyway. Better get to work.
