The shortcoming of the young is their inability to see past their impulsive desires. Having never dealt with such big emotions, decisions, or consequences, they are unable to see what the results will yield.
On the other end, as we get older, we can get so caught up in thinking too much about the outcome that we never want to be impulsive. Planned fun is appeasing, but doesn’t have the same joy as being impulsive.
Sometimes, you just have to go with it.
