And we can either drown ourselves in the emptiness of their absence, or we can work towards creating something new.
Holding onto the joy of the days past is to be grateful for it happening. Gratitude provides fulfillment, which in turn, gives more reason for joy.
Depending on how the day went and the laughs that were shared, we can also wake up and wonder if that joy was a one time deal. Whatever happened isn’t something that you necessarily want to replicate again.
Or maybe it’s something you fear you can never replicate.
The joy of yesterday is gone, but it can still remain in your heart. Embrace it and let it grow, then bring it’s enthusiasm into today.
It won’t just carry over, but will multiply.
