The Moment of Hesitation

The moment between when you think about taking action and doing it is critical. There’s an opportunity for that moment to linger and prevent you from ever getting to the action.

Steven Pressfield calls this moment, “Resistance.”

It’s a battle you must fight every time you want to do something new with your life. The issue is the longer you stay in that moment, the more likely you are going to lose that battle.

More motivation isn’t going to help you win.

What is needed is a determination that when the time comes, immediate action will be taken instead of hesitating.

Hesitation leads to excuses, which then leads to justifications and finally, disappointment. Overcoming this cycle is difficult… actually, extremely hard… but it leads to the most fulfilling life.

Make it happen.
