The Morning Ritual

What you do first thing in the morning will set your tone for the entire day.

It’s the critical time when you decide whether you will run the day or the day will run you. How do we treat it?

Are we endlessly hitting the snooze button?
Do we immediately check our phones?
Are we running through our endless to-do list?

Sometimes, the morning is all we have to take a moment for ourselves. It’s the best time to just sit and be still, enjoying the silence of the day. Our creative minds are at their peak when we give them the opportunity to wander around not be hijacked by the interruptions that plague the rest of our day.

It’s the prime time for prayer, meditation or some kind of spiritual reading.

It’s the perfect opportunity to get some writing done, or to journal about things you are grateful for in life.

You can get the mind and body going for the rest of the day with just a few minutes of exercise.

You can take fifteen minutes and work on a major project you’ve always wanted to accomplish.

Or you can simply grab a cup of coffee or tea and take in the world outside your window.

The morning has the most potential out of every day. Don’t waste it.
