There is the myth of the lone artist… the isolated wise person… the genius in a bubble…

All of them were influenced by others. They all stand on the shoulders of giants as they look towards something greater than themselves.

Their breakthroughs happen when encountering the rest of the world and the people in it.

We might think we need to “figure this out on our own,” but we’re doing ourselves a disservice. The more we reach out to others, the faster we’ll progress.

There’s something about the chemistry of gathering together with a group of people – even if the group is only two – that it accelerates everything we’re doing. It also gives us greater meaning to our own lives.
