Years ago, fellow author Thomas Jast and I cobbled together an idea from an inside joke that was never meant to go anywhere.
For fun, Jast wrote a chapter of what could be the beginnings of a book and I added to it as a reprieve from the boredom we were facing in the day. Then other people got a hold of it…
and demanded more.
Even as I worked away at other projects, publishing other works, the people who saw this mock chapter were asking when we were going to finish the book. It seemed they were more interested in our inside joke than anything else we were putting out.
So we decided to finish it.
This book is really the spiritual successor to my first (out of print) work, “How to Slack Your Way to Success.” Written with the same jaded attitude, although the authors are now *slightly* more mature, it’s writing done for fun and meant to be fun.
I enjoy it because it represents my growth as a writer while still harking back to the seeds of inspiration that got me here. It’s a book filled with nostalgia, but not in a way that directly relates to life experiences. More like someone facing their past, but filling it in with inside jokes and made up premises instead.
While I do plan on some light marketing for it, this book doesn’t have a target audience because Jast and I wrote it for ourselves. However, if you want to check it out, I’d love for you to see it.
Without further ado…
