In a pinch, to hide what’s really going on, an excuse is made.

Then, the excuse must be committed to in its entirety or face being called out. It must stand so firm that the mind begins to believe the excuse and creates an entire narrative around it.

Once that narrative is created, other pathways are created to support it, allowing the excuse to thrive into a fundamental truth.

Yet, there’s still a strand in there that knows what’s really behind the truth and it’s the one strand that doesn’t want to be faced.

An entire life can be lived by ignoring this strand… and many have.

It’s a life, built upon a truth that was never a truth to begin with and it’s absolutely miserable.

A fulfilling life, however, is willing to confront the excuse and finding ways to squash it.
