It’s bound to happen at some point.
Somebody you love, you trust and even those you’ve been close with are going to disappoint you in some way or another. There’s no avoiding it and there’s no rhyme or reason for why it will happen.
It just will.
In those times, it’s key to remember that you did the same for another person in your life. There was a time when people were depending on you, expecting something from you, wanting something from you… and you disappointed them.
What was the best feeling afterwards?
The person forgave you and was willing to move forward – to make amends. You felt as if you had another chance with this person and would never want to repeat your failure.
Offer that same forgiveness to the person who has disappointed you. If they love you as much as you think, they’ll work like hell to never disappoint you again.
