Even if we had the answer to that question, would that change anything?
We know that exercise and healthy food choices are crucial to our bodies, but that still doesn’t motivate people enough to follow through.
Part of it is our addiction to quick fixes.
We like to resist the idea of the long, slow, road to where we need to be. It’s the long path that becomes fully ingrained in our lives, but there are no overnight results. Sometimes, the results happen many years later and without our recognition.
It’s also incredibly difficult to take a hard, look at ourselves. Without that step, we’re not honest and we continue to build a wall of lies around us in hopes they might turn into truth.
So why are we miserable?
For the same reason we’re fearful.
