There’s been a major upgrade to WordPress, the platform I use for this site, and rather than a blank box to type in, I see the following words:

“Write your story.”

It’s a fascinating prompt because all of life is us telling a story. 

There’s the story of how we got here (as a species), how you got here (I’m sure you would prefer to have the details saved on this one) and how others came into your life.

There’s the story of your family and its traditions.

There’s the story of your country.

There’s the story of your beliefs and your values.

There’s the story you told others about how you’re doing and the story you tell yourself.

There’s the story of friendship… of hardship… of betrayal… of love.

What bonds us as a species are the stories we tell and each of us brings a different perspective, a different angle and shines a different light on them. 

I’ve told over seven hundred stories on this site.

There’s still an opportunity to tell seven hundred more.

It’s easier than ever to share your story with the world today. Perhaps your story will bring others to you… perhaps it will give them hope.
