The one uncertainty we need to face is not knowing how much time we have left in life.
While we should plan, and act, as if we will have a long and healthy life ahead of us — there are no guarantees. Death will always remain the mystery of mysteries.
In light of our mortality, it’s important to underscore our time together. Let’s not plan for a future in which immortality is around the corner (it just may be), but one where we can only move forward together if we responsibly help each other.
That would be a bigger legacy for future generations than uncovering an artificial extension of our isolated miseries.
