Looking to the Future with Optimism

I looks toward the future in a way that captures our imagination for good.

JFK announced we would land on the moon when, at the time, the best the Americans could do was send a person into suborbital flight.

Then we landed on it ten years later.

Some would say to avoid optimism because the problem is people and people are always selfish.

Here’s the thing:

Pessimism helped start many wars, economic divides, social stratification, sexual exploitation and environmental catastrophes.

Optimism on a small scale has created grassroots movements that help the disenfranchised, tackle the major issues and reach out to those in need.

We’ve never tried optimism on a global scale.

It’s worth a shot.
