On the Road to Burnout

There’s always work to be done and another task to complete.

The list of things you need to do in life is ever-growing and you will never catch up with everything at work.

Your to-do in your personal life is constantly evolving and it’ll never be done.

You can’t control the people around you, nor how they will react to you.

There’s always somebody you need to call and somebody that needs your attention.

There’s a ball you dropped somewhere and yes, there was something more you possibly could’ve done.

There’s another show to watch, a book to read, a movie to see, an article you should peruse and a song that needs listening.

The road to burnout is trying to take control of a world that can’t be controlled, and trying to catch up with what can never be caught.

Once that realization is made, enjoying the moment becomes incredibly pleasant and completely relaxing.
