And hold yourself to a higher standard, always striving to be better, the scenery around you changes.

Those that want to follow your lead will begin to hold themselves to a higher standard as well and will work along the same path as you. The people you attract will reflect the changes you are making.

You will face adversity from those who do not wish to join you… who take pleasure at pointing out the shortcomings of others without putting a mirror up to themselves… who will mock you and ridicule you.

In other words — people who will never change.

However, once you get to that better version of yourself, a few items become apparent:

1. Change can only come from a person who is striving for it and it cannot be forced upon them.

2. Very few people are actually willing to commit to doing what it takes.

3. Things move much faster when they’re done in groups.

While number three is a nice-to-have, numbers one and two are mandatory.
