Words are Cheap

If they are used without recourse.

Throwing away sentences without care to each word that is put into them causes a flood of noise. The early advantage of Twitter was its limitation of characters, forcing a person to utilize each character to its full potential.

Then it got saturated with marketers, self-promotion and the platform’s need to stay relevant. Now it can’t deal with its own noise.

People make comments (in person and online) without care for how it sounds, allowing their emotion to guide whatever words may articulate that particular state.

Poor slide presentations are blanketed with words while the presenter merely repeats them and adds to it.

Gossip is nothing more than a way to kill time.

Words are cheap because they are used in abundance without care for the message.

If, however, every word written or spoken was precisely chosen… without excess… every word you say becomes valuable.
