You Don’t Attract the Universe

The universe is a chaotic home with little sense made of its infinite systems that coalesce to keep it going.

With our grand posturings over thousands of years, we have barely scratched the surface of any of its workings. At best, we have some strong observations to the underpinnings that hold us down on this planet.

Anything beyond is conjecture based upon laws we are still formulating.

Regardless of what we discover and any hopes we may have for making sense of the future, there will always be more to the cosmic sea. It is an endless voyage with no hope of return should we set sail for its deep waters.

Yet, there are some who would suggest the universe can capitulate to our mere wishes if we just keep fixated on them. It seems quite arrogant considering the millions of people on this planet who can’t see anything more than the next day and must concede even that is something to celebrate.

You do not attract the universe.

You are in it and you are a part of it.

If you want something from it, you must grab a hold of that fraction of desire and refuse to let go until it offers you a morsel.

Even then, it may ignore you or merely glance in your direction while continuing its unseeming pattern of chaos.

Your only chance is to keep holding on.
